Famed playwright, inventor, and actor William Gillette has just opened “Sherlock Holmes” on Broadway; he meets his old friend and colleague James O’Neill at the Players Club to await the reviews. As they talk about their lives and extraordinary careers, they are visited by the ghosts of William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Helen, Robert & Mary Gillette, and Edmund O’Neill.

RICHARD PHENEGER

Westport Community Theatre joins the larger arts community in grieving the loss of our friend Richard Pheneger, heart of the dramatic arts in Connecticut. We will miss his welcoming face, his patience, his personal and public support, and his generous appreciation.
